what does it mean to be advent people?

Anyone who knows me well can tell you that advent is my favorite season of the church year. I! Love! Advent! So, of course, I had to find a way to make the spirit of advent last all year. But... what does it mean to be advent people?

Advent is a season of anticipation, waiting for God's good news, and, in the process, internalizing four pillars of the Christian faith: hope, peace, joy, and love. Being advent people means being people who hope fiercely, seek peace, spread joy, and love well. It means keeping Jesus on our minds and anticipating Emmanuel—God with us—in every moment.
